Relationship Workshop: From Connection to Intimacy
- Learn how to create Healthy and Intimate Relationships
- Identify and Work through your Blocks to Intimacy
- Practice a Powerful Tool for Emotional Connection: “Authentic Dialogue”
- Learn to express your Authentic Self in a Safe Group Environment
Join us as we facilitate this full-day interactive workshop. We will discuss the tools necessary for genuine communication and emotional connection in your relationships.
Through group discussion and exercises you will learn how to create healthy, committed, intimate relationships, and—very importantly—how to identify your blocks to intimacy.
The morning is devoted to increasing the connection with our core self: understanding our needs, expressing what we want in a relationship, and identifying what gets in the way of true connection. The afternoon will focus on what is required to sustain a relationship—including a roadmap from “infatuation to intimacy,” and practicing the powerful “authentic dialogue” tool that couples can use as they talk with one another to maintain closeness even while disagreeing, thus processing through conflict.
Testimonial
This is a testimonial from our recent November 15, 2009 Intimacy Workshop:
Dear Dr. Mongno,
I want to thank you so much for the experience I had at your Intimacy & Connection workshop. It was such an overwhelmingly positive and enjoyable learning experience. This was my first time attending a group therapy workshop that integrates ideas from psychotherapy, spirituality, and other healing modalities. Not only did I walk away with tangible techniques and knowledge on how to create intimacy and release blockages in relationships, I also shared and learned from everyone in the room. Lastly, I got to witness healing and therapy live. It was so refreshing and empowering to see that there are real couples who are happy or are working towards becoming happier. You and Nancy were both such great facilitators.
Thank you again,
Eliza.Dudelzak Columbia University of Graduate Studies
